Zen and the Art of Folding Laundry

Carol Channing is correct; housework sucks. Cleaning sucks, washing dishes sucks, taking out the garbage sucks.

Well…not everything.

Something most people don’t know about me is that I love doing laundry.

I mean, with a passion.

There’s something about the smell of clean clothes that gets me.

I do the wash on Monday, and Wednesdays are meant for Mental Floss, Jenna Marbles, and folding laundry.

It’s relaxing, it’s fun, and it gets stuff done.

Try it sometime.

  1. Doing laundry is one of two chores that I love (the other is vacuuming). there’s nothing better than fresh sheets, hot straight out of the dryer. bliss. 🙂

    • Lauren: I never quite got into vacuuming, I’m a little OCD and if I miss a spot it’ll bug me until the next time I vacuum. One of my friends’ moms used to put her daughters’ school clothes in the dryer every night so that when they went to dress in the morning they could step from their pajamas into warm school outfits. I love wearing freshly cleaned socks, it’s like my feet are getting hugs 🙂
